Mark Farish - Sr. Pastor
Mark is a Dallas area native--from Irving, the almost former home of the Dallas Cowboys. He has been pastor at Lake Highlands since 1992. He graduated from Baylor University and Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary and pastored 3 other churches prior to LHBC. He and his wife Teresa, who is a school teacher, have 2 kids--Mindy at Texas A&M (Whoop!) and David at South Garland High School (graduating class of '08).

Brandon Bachtel - Students, Singles & Associate Pastor
Brandon joined the staff at LHBC in August of 2005. He is a graduate of Texas A&M Commerce, although he tries to tell everyone that he is a "Longhorn" not an Aggie. He is married to Kelley who teaches school in Richardson. Brandon likes all the manly sports but he has had to shift to a lot of computer simulated games as he has aged.

Trey Groves - Worship & Music Pastor
Trey is the new kid on the block--starting his ministry at LHBC in the Fall of 2007. But in another respect, he is not new to the neighborhood. Trey grew up in this area and graduated from Bryan Adams High School and then Howard Payne Univ. After serving churches in Texas and Indiana, he has come back home ... and brings along wife, Tami, and kids Taylor, Quaid & Mav.

Christy Johnson - Education
Christy and her family (Rob and their 5 girls) have been members of LHBC since 1996. Christy has a heart for people & ministry and is a gifted administrator. When Christy isn't having children, she is part-time staff with full-time ministry, helping administrate the development of disciples at LHBC.

Matt McKay - Children's Pastor
Faster than a speeding skateboard...able to leap small children in a single bound...it's Mr. Matt! After helping us out in the summer of 2007, Matt was called as Children's Pastor on Sept. 1. Currently a student at Criswell College, Matt plays a big role in Launch Pad and KidsWorship. Matt is carrying on a family tradition of church ministry and service.

Amie Pulley - Preschool / Mother's Day Out Director
Amie is the director of the Preschool & MDO program. With twins of her own Amie is a great mom. She loves kids and has experience in several MDO programs. Interestingly, Amie's mom (Linda) became our Preschool teacher back in the early 1990s and, after a brief respite when she took care of grandchildren, she came back and is teaching again. So that makes Amie her mom's boss! (Is that a dream job or what?)

Dawna Duke - Life After School Director
Dawna grew up in LHBC and started working in the LAS program several years ago. In the Fall of 2005, when the position of Director was open, Dawna was the logical choice . . . because she is a kid at heart. Gifted & called, Dawna is leading this outstanding ministry at LHBC. And she does all of this while attending Criswell College.

Mary Ann Farish - Financial Secretary
Mary Ann joined LHBC in 1998 and the staff of LHBC in 2004. She happens to be married to Mark's brother, Tim, and has three children: Rachel, Daniel, and Lizzy. Mary Ann is a graduate of Dallas Baptist University, although it was still a college when she went there.

Kim Kelley - Secretary
Kim joined the staff in March of 2006 and brings her creative skills to the office. Kim is married to Shawn (who is our web site guru) and they have 1 daughter, Leah. Most of the time, hers is the friendly voice you get when you call. (No, we didn't mean that she is friendly only most of the time...)
